Disability Support Worker Job

About the Role:

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about improving the quality of life for individuals with physical or intellectual disability.

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide support for a child requiring assistance within the home involving Active Overnight care.

Shifts are available on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 9pm to 7am (Active Overnight).

Positions may be available in surrounding suburbs.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or qualifications in Individual Support, Disability Support, Aged Care or equivalent.

Desirable competencies include manual handling, high care experience, and enthusiastic approach to supporting people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability.

A reliable, kind, and caring nature, with good work ethics is essential. The candidate must also be well-presented and professional, with average physical fitness level and flexibility to adapt to individual support needs.

Requirements:

  • Current resume and 2 professional referees
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment
  • Working with Children Check (Employer)
  • Current driver license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011/HLTAID003) & CPR (HLTAID009/HLTAID001)
