Support Professional for Individuals with Disabilities

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional with a strong background in managing behaviors of concern to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including their homes, community centers, and educational institutions.
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores, while promoting independence and dignity.
- Develop tailored support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Utilize evidence-based behavior management techniques to address and de-escalate challenging behaviors, ensuring the safety and well-being of both clients and support staff.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and other support professionals to ensure holistic and collaborative care.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working as a Disability Support Worker or in a related field is required.
- The ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors in a calm and respectful manner is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for building rapport and establishing trusting relationships with individuals with disabilities and their families.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach towards supporting individuals with disabilities is required.
