Power Markets Analyst Position

Role Summary:


Aurora's Software Solutions team is expanding its global presence in the energy transition. As a key player, we are seeking an experienced Power Markets Analyst to join our Client Solutions team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, combined with a passion for working with energy sector clients to integrate Aurora's software products into their decision-making processes.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Support leading developers, utilities, and funds to integrate Aurora's software products into their decision-making processes.
  • Meet with clients in-person and virtually to support their usage of our software products, building relationships to help grow and retain Aurora's client base in APAC.
  • Guide customers as they use the Aurora software suite to conduct asset valuations and construct long-term power market scenarios to inform their market view.
  • Troubleshoot wide-ranging client requests and help clients interpret complex results, using your power markets knowledge and data analysis skills.
  • Onboard new accounts and develop deep knowledge about their use cases for our products, leveraging technical expertise across Aurora's software suite and relevant power markets knowledge.
  • Represent the client's voice internally, conveying feedback to the product teams in order to refine product roadmaps.
  • Actively contribute to knowledge building and expanding the capabilities of the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM subject.
  • At least 1 year of professional exposure in an analytical, client-facing role with B2B experience.
  • Deep interest in the energy transition and SaaS products.
  • Self-starter with creative problem-solving approach and ability to rapidly assimilate new knowledge.
  • Passion for working with clients across the energy sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate and collaborate with both technically and non-technically minded parties on a range of complex topics.
  • Able to analyse, interpret and derive insights from complex quantitative data and information.
  • Customer-first mindset with the confidence to pursue outcomes mutually beneficial to all stakeholders.
