Job Overview

AXA XL is expanding its pricing capabilities in the Asia Pacific region and seeks a highly experienced Chief Pricing Officer to lead this effort. The successful candidate will develop and implement pricing strategies across various commercial lines, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented actuary to take on a leadership role, leveraging their expertise to drive business growth and profitability in the region.

About the Role
  • Lead and manage a team of pricing actuaries and analysts across the APAC region, developing and implementing the pricing operational plan and supporting the pricing team to achieve their objectives.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for various commercial lines, providing technical input for cross-functional projects and supporting local management and underwriting teams in implementing business strategies across the APAC region.
  • Provide pricing support to underwriters through both individual case pricing and detailed understanding of global line of business specific pricing tools, requiring regular liaison with global pricing teams.
Requirements
  • Over 10 years of experience in non-life insurance pricing, with a track record of leadership capability and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong business acumen, with ability to translate actuarial output into business value, ensuring various customers are able to understand the practical implications of our analyses.
  • Strategic thinking and tactical implementation, with ability to invent, design, and build solutions.
  • Actuarial expertise, with knowledge of general insurance pricing models and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to work with stakeholders at all levels locally and remotely.
