As an Australia Market Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing and growing Munich Re's presence in the Australian market through business planning, relationship building, and team development.
Key Responsibilities- Business Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive business plan for Australia/New Zealand, identifying opportunities and challenges in the local market.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with global and local brokers to drive business growth and establish Munich Re as a trusted partner in the region.
- Team Leadership: Recruit and develop a high-performing underwriting team in relevant lines of business, providing coaching and guidance to ensure they have the skills and expertise needed to succeed.
- Operational Efficiency: Establish an efficient operating model to facilitate growth plans in APAC, streamlining processes and eliminating unnecessary complexity.
- Representation: Represent Munich Re as the face and voice in Australia, promoting the company's values and reputation in the local market.
- Leadership and Motivation: Lead and motivate direct reports to implement the Australian business strategy and global underwriting strategy, empowering them to make decisions and take ownership of their work.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and maintain the underwriting team to achieve business objectives and targets, ensuring that everyone is working together towards a common goal.
