About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker with Edmen Community Staffing Solutions, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Our team provides round-the-clock care and support to people living with disabilities in various settings, including residential, community access, and supported independent living (SIL).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care and Assistance: Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Foster a Supportive Environment: Create a safe and empowering space that promotes independence and inclusion.
  • Support Daily Living Tasks: Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks to ensure a comfortable living environment.
  • Facilitate Community Access: Support clients in accessing community resources, transportation, and social activities to promote socialization and engagement.
  • Administer Medication and Monitor Health: Administer medication and monitor health conditions, as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Document Client Progress: Maintain accurate records of client progress, care plans, and any incidents.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with clients, their families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Respond to emergencies and crisis situations with appropriate care and intervention.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality regarding client information.
  • Ensure Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the well-being of clients and yourself.
About You
  • Hold a Certificate III in Community Services, Individual Support, Disabilities, or similar.
  • Australian Drivers Licence (P2 or higher).
  • NSW Working with Children Check.
  • NDIS Worker Check.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
  • The ability to work a mixture of day, night, and weekend shifts as required.
