Disability Service Coordinator Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our new Day Program as a Disability Service Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of group homes or day programs, ensuring smooth household management, efficient staffing, and engaging program activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for site team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure timely completion of mandatory reports, maintaining high standards of record-keeping and compliance.
  • Drive the development of Supported Independent Living skills with team members, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Maintain properties to appropriate standards, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Cert IV in Disability or Individual Support, or equivalent experience in disability support.
  • Proven experience managing and supervising staff, as well as delivering client outcomes in multiple accommodation settings.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS, principles of active support, and human rights-based approach to service delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer literacy in MS Office Suite and online systems, with ability to adapt to new technology.
  • Practical experience in achieving community inclusion, with passion for promoting social participation and equality.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence, with ability to safely operate a vehicle.
