Compliance and Safety Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Statutory Auditor to conduct comprehensive inspections of underground mine structures and equipment within the Illawarra region.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mine safety, auditing or regulatory compliance, and a minimum 5 years' experience in coal mining operations. Key skills required include:

  • A strong understanding of coal mining regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.\
  • Expertise in interpreting mining blueprints, schematics, and engineering plans.\
  • Ability to conduct statutory audits and risk assessments.\
  • Proficiency in using photographic and inspection equipment for underground environments.\
  • Familiarity with documentation and report writing.\\/ul\[

This is a full-time, office-based position in Wollongong, NSW, that involves documenting conditions, photographing equipment, and identifying risks during inspections.

You will then compile risk profiles and remediation reports to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and Australian mining standards.
