Challenger Limited is an investment management firm managing a substantial portfolio of assets. We are seeking a talented individual to join our Life Risk team, where you will play a key role in driving our vision to provide financial security for our customers.

The role is based in Sydney at Challenger's head office, offering chances for client interactions and relationship management within a close-knit team. Our Life Risk team combines technical expertise with stakeholder management and internal/external client interactions.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Conducting and reviewing actuarial pricing to meet commercial goals;
  • Performing technical analysis and review of industry and historical deal experience in assumption and trend setting for pricing purposes;
  • Data sourcing, checking, manipulation and communication;
  • Financial cash flow and capital projections;
  • Developing knowledge of insurance markets in various jurisdictions;
  • Documentation, discussion and communication of analysis, assumptions and pricing results;
  • Involvement in client communication and approval processes;

A successful candidate will possess strong actuarial problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and take initiative. Familiarity with VBA, SQL and/or Python programming is desirable, along with 2-5 years of relevant industry experience. A tertiary qualification in Actuarial Science, Finance or related fields is essential.
