ING Bank (Australia) Limited is seeking an experienced Credit Risk Modelling professional to join our financial risk division. As a key member of our high-performing team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining non-regulatory risk models to determine risk-weighted assets and loan provisions.

The successful candidate will perform activities as part of the model life cycle management, including model development, model monitoring, and data delivery for independent model validation. You will focus on credit risk capital models and IFRS9 provisions for our retail and wholesale portfolios in Australia.

This is a broad and interesting role that involves complex data analytics, good documentation skills, and knowledge of Australian Prudential Standards in relation to credit risk modelling. You will also have the opportunity to work on a wider range of risk topics, including stress test models, market risk, and the interaction between credit and market risk under stressed conditions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting data, performing analytics, and developing credit risk models.
  • Designing model methodologies, performing model maintenance, and model implementation activities.
  • Reporting to internal and external stakeholders on outcomes.
  • Representing ING Australia in industry and global working groups.

Requirements include:

  • Intermediate to advanced SAS and SQL skills.
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience in a risk analytics role, actuarial analytics, or equivalent within banking/insurance services.
  • Knowledge of APS standards relating to credit risk modelling.
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and risk management techniques.
