Vehicle Body Fabricator Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Body Fabricator to join our team.

You will be responsible for fabricating and installing new components and parts, including bodywork, onto the chassis of commercial vehicles using welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the vehicle's damage to determine how to perform the restoration work
  • Ensure the chassis crush is properly maintained and used appropriately
  • Treat company equipment with respect, similar to your own tools
  • Advise the Parts Interpreter of any additional parts required not originally quoted on the estimate
  • Coordinate with other workers in the workshop to ensure efficient workflow placement
  • Notify of any product shortages that would restrict production
  • Check the schedule daily to ensure time-frames are met

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified
  • Proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues that arise
  • Mechanical knowledge to assist in tool usage and maintenance
  • An overall aptitude for technical activities
