Job Summary
The role of an Associate Architect involves overseeing the establishment and delivery of medium to large-scale projects across various sectors, including Commercial, Industrial, and Education. The successful candidate will lead a small team, work closely with Senior Associates and national leaders, and drive strategic direction.
Responsibilities:- Project Leadership: Deliver architectural projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives, managing risk, and coordinating consultants.
- Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing team, setting clear goals, mentoring, coaching, and driving performance.
- Design Excellence: Champion design quality across all phases, collaborating with senior leaders, and conducting key reviews to meet internal QA standards.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, providing clear communication, managing scope and contracts, and supporting business development opportunities.
- Strategic Accountability: Collaborate with Senior Associates and Directors on project financials, reporting, and risk management to support the practice's strategic direction and commercial success.
- A strong background in Architectural Design, preferably as a qualified or registered architect.
- Experience in Commercial and Education sectors preferred.
- Technical acumen, contract administration experience, and proficiency in Revit and design software.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including full tender and lump sum project deliverables.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to proactively manage client relationships and collaborate with consultants and internal team members.
