Architecture Team Manager

Leading a team of architects requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills and business acumen.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture, with experience in managing projects from conception to delivery. They will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, securing forward workload and establishing strong relationships with clients.

The role will involve providing direction and motivation to the team, ensuring project delivery meets client expectations and sign off on project bids within delegated authorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Managing and leading a team of architects to deliver projects on time and to budget
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to staff to improve their skills and performance
  • Contributing to the implementation of the group's business plan

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor degree in architecture or relevant discipline
  • Registration with the Institute of Architects preferred
  • 8-10+ years relevant experience preferably in a consulting environment
  • Excellent verbal and graphic presentation skills
  • Sound working knowledge and understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
  • Proficient in the use of Word and Excel
  • Understanding of Microsoft Project, Abode Indesign, Photoshop
