Role Overview: The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics will be instrumental in advancing the Department's strategic objectives. This role involves contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs, enhancing the reputation of the faculty's offerings, and engaging in high-quality research published in reputable national and international journals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality teaching and supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Conducting and publishing impactful research in leading academic journals.
- Developing and contributing to the Department's research agenda, with a focus on achieving excellence in research outcomes.
- Engaging in competitive external research funding initiatives.
- Participating in activities that enhance the Department's profile and reputation.
- Building and maintaining relationships with industry, community, and academic partners.
- Promoting the scholarly reputation of Deakin University.
Key Selection Criteria:
- A PhD in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Management of Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
- Research and teaching focus on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, and Blockchain.
- Experience in teaching Business Analytics or Digital Management courses is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in lecturing, teaching innovation, and curriculum development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- A strong record of research and scholarship, with proven leadership in Information Systems.
- Expectations for significant contributions to teaching and scholarship within the academic unit.
- Engagement in research and professional activities is essential for this role.
