Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed design documentation in AutoCAD or other software programs, while ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other technical specialists.

Requirements
  • A relevant qualification in drafting or engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in drafting, preferably in a civil engineering context
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other software programs
  • Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design
  • Understanding of commercial risk and its management
  • Ability to liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, and other technical specialists
