Senior Transmission Line Engineer Opportunity

As a senior transmission line engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects including wind, solar, and utility works for a range of clients. You will be responsible for designing and developing solutions for complex engineering problems in a fast-paced environment.

About You and the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging structural transmission line projects with a highly experienced specialist power consulting firm. As a senior transmission line engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing solutions for complex engineering problems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) acceptable for admission as a professional engineer to Engineers Australia.
  • At least 10 years' experience in structural design work, with a particular emphasis on transmission line and substation structural design work.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995 and AS 1170.
  • Experience in using computer design packages such as PLS Tower, PLS Pole; Development of conductor loads for transmission and substation structures.
  • Experience in the development of conductor attachment point loads for transmission and substation structures through 'Limit State' design method.
  • Ability to solve complex technical and operational problems, either through a systematic approach or innovation.
  • Previous experience in an engineering design consultancy environment.
