We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our Public Sector team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for executing sales strategies across the full SAS portfolio in Public Sector.
Key Responsibilities- Sell SAS solutions to Public Sector customers, highlighting the value proposition of our software and services.
- Stay ahead of the curve by staying up-to-date on SAS' goals, objectives, applications, and industry trends.
- Understand SAS' pricing, licensing procedures, and approvals matrix to effectively communicate with customers.
- Uncover high-potential accounts and follow up on leads to drive sales growth.
- Work closely with other sales professionals, customer advisory teams, and executives to react quickly to highly qualified leads.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and contracts, and work cross-functionally to finalize agreements and set delivery schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service, tracking customer satisfaction and ensuring a superior experience.
- Travel up to 30% (mostly domestically) to meet with customers and partners.
- 8+ years of experience in sales of computer software solutions, with a focus on Public Sector.
- Ability to initiate and lead sales opportunities, relating technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs.
- Growth mindset, creativity, and a value-based selling approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or a relevant discipline.
- Experience selling software solutions to enterprise customers, with a focus on Analytics, SaaS, AI/ML, and/or Cloud.
- Experience and expertise selling to senior decision makers, aligning the value proposition of SAS capabilities to meet enterprise needs.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics, developing a sales plan that relates SAS capabilities to enterprise challenges in Public Sector.
