Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring timely completion and budgetary efficiency. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects simultaneously, estimating project costs, negotiating subcontractor agreements, and maintaining accurate reporting to stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage overall project scope, timeline, and resources.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and negotiation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain open communication channels with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project team members and stakeholders to discuss project status and address concerns.
Requirements
  • Public/Civic experience required.
  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Drafting and computer skills, including proficiency in project management software.
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting principles.
  • Thorough understanding of project management control systems, including scheduling, cost control, procurement, and estimating.
