Australia Lead of Property Acquisitions

This is a key leadership position in our Real Estate division, responsible for overseeing direct property transactions and asset management in Australia.

  • Lead a team responsible for direct property acquisitions and asset management across various sectors, including commercial and residential.
  • Oversee the entire transaction lifecycle, from sourcing to closing, ensuring seamless execution and maximum value.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Managers to execute capital market activities, aligning with their requirements and guidelines.
  • Strategically drive Australian investment opportunities, supporting team members in conducting financial underwriting and commercial appraisal, structuring investments, and negotiating transactions.
  • Oversight during the asset holding period, representing the division on legal entity boards and APAC Real Estate Investment Committees.

We are seeking an experienced professional with:

  • Extensive background in Real Estate, preferably from institutional Asset Management, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Real Estate development.
  • Demonstrable track record of sourcing and closing Australian property transactions across various sectors, including logistics, office, industrial, retail, and residential assets.
  • Experience in structuring property transactions on behalf of foreign capital for non-discretionary and discretionary investment accounts.
  • Strong experience in both direct property transactions/acquisitions and asset management.
  • Established relationships with investors, which can be leveraged to drive new business in direct property mandates for Australia.
  • Ideal candidates will have notable experience in the residential sector in Australia or abroad (BTR, BTS, PBSA).
