  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the collection, collation, recording and analysis of information available to the prison intelligence unit. This will involve developing this information for presentation to management and distribution to authorized personnel or external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the security, good order and management of prison facilities. This includes preventing prisoner escapes, preventing the introduction and usage of contraband within prisons, and identifying possible prisoner incidents/unrest.

Requirements:

  • A high level of demonstrated knowledge and experience with the operation of the prisoner telephone system, prisoner mail, and prisoner visit lists is essential. The ability to successfully complete the Corrections Victoria Intelligence Course or an equivalent course is also required.
  • Victorian Prison Officer Pre-Service training or completed training in an equivalent jurisdiction is mandatory.
