We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our dynamic team at the Drug Health Service. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical advice and consultancy to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals within the specialty of drug and alcohol care.
About the TeamOur team is dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients with complex health needs. You will be working closely with a Nurse Manager and supported by a team of Clinical Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, and other staff specialists. We are a collaborative and supportive team that values diversity and inclusion.
About the PositionThe Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 provides leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice and initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services. You will contribute to the development and delivery of specialty-related education programs and participate in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service.

To be considered for this position, you must:
- Have personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of NSW Health
- Be currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
- Have at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field
- Have approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which you are appointed
- Demonstrate ability to work autonomously and within the interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development
- Demonstrate high-level effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in daily practice as a registered nurse
- Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to prioritize competing workloads within a complex environment
The estimated salary for this position is $128,030.56 - $130,582.09 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including salary packaging and Fitness Passport for eligible staff.
