Desktop Home Assessor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Home Assessor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting desktop assessments of insured properties using virtual assessing and/or causation reports provided by our panel suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the cause of damage and determine the scope and cost of repair to insured properties.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of insured properties using virtual assessing and/or causation reports.
  • Produce detailed reports that include cause, coverage, damage, and best repair methods.
  • Review scope of works and expert reports to ensure the most cost-effective and timely method of repairs.
  • Negotiate and define the scope of work and associated costing with key stakeholders.
  • Manage end-to-end claim management, including cost, quality, and service controls in conjunction with the Claims Operations Team.
  • Submit reports, review SOW's, and documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within the insurance, building, or construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional customer service and supplier relationship management experience.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to prepare scope of works, quotes, and estimations is extremely advantageous.
  • Confident using technology.
