Job Description

The Enterprise Controls Assurance Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation's controls framework is well-designed, effectively implemented, and operating efficiently. This involves providing expert advice, delivering key assurance activities, and building capability across the business to support informed decision-making and a strong governance culture aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the organisation's controls program to ensure critical operational, enterprise, and strategic controls are well-designed and effectively implemented.
  • Provide expert advice on control design and effectiveness testing, and drive improvements that enhance overall governance and risk resilience.
  • Build strong partnerships across first- and second-line teams, governance, and compliance stakeholders, and provide expert guidance on compliance alignment and remediation strategies.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of controls mapped to organisational risks, identify gaps, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in shaping and embedding strong control frameworks across complex organisational environments.
  • Strong capability in stakeholder collaboration and advisory, with experience in building strong partnerships across first- and second-line teams, governance, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strength in controls reporting and risk analysis, with the ability to simplify complex data and communicate it effectively to senior leaders.
