Senior Internal Communications Specialist

This role involves leading a strategic approach to internal communication that delivers on the organisation's Strategic Plan.
- Developing and implementing a strategic and integrated communication plan to engage stakeholders;
- Creating and executing innovative strategic communication projects and initiatives that meet business needs using new technologies;
Strategic Communication Projects include delivering internal communications strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, corporate social responsibility programs,
and facilitating organisational change management processes. - Providing strategic communication advice to other business units to ensure maximum impact of messaging that supports the organisation's strategic plan;
Communication advice is provided in areas such as crisis management, change management, internal branding,
organisational design, workplace culture development and maintenance, team performance improvement, employee relations,
HR process reviews and improvements, workforce planning, policy development, research, data analysis, project management
and market research. - Working in collaboration with the wider Strategy & Engagement Division to ensure integrated planning and delivery of best practice communication and engagement;
This includes providing expert advice and consulting services in areas such as strategic communication planning,
stakeholder engagement, event management, media relations, speech writing, crisis communication and emergency response,
internal communication strategy and implementation, executive coaching, facilitation, training and workshops, branding,
digital marketing and social media engagement, brand story telling, content creation, photography and video production,
data analytics and insights, survey research and feedback collection and presentation. - Developing and implementing appropriate frameworks, systems, policies, procedures and reports to support the strategic communication function;
This includes developing, managing, monitoring, maintaining, reporting and analyzing metrics for various communication
initiatives, evaluating their effectiveness and suggesting improvements, overseeing all work related to digital content,
including creating, editing, publishing, reviewing, updating, ensuring accuracy and relevance of content across all
communication channels and formats, investigating emerging trends and issues in strategic communication and information
systems and making recommendations to the organisation, identifying and assessing risks, opportunities and threats
to achieve business objectives and develop mitigation or contingency plans as needed. - Ensuring activities undertaken are managed responsibly and comply with legislation, organisational objectives, budget and designated timeframes;
This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and standards, working with HR to manage employee
relations, including conflict resolution, grievance procedures, complaints handling, harassment prevention,
staff diversity and inclusion, staff performance management, disciplinary actions, retirement planning and succession planning.
