As a Civil Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Scoping, preparing short-term look ahead programs, and providing input into the project schedule, status of works, and reporting requirements
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress and maintaining our contractual schedule/program
  • Monitoring/reviewing project task financial outcomes, including overseeing project monthly forecasting and short-term cost controls to ensure project targets are optimized
  • Providing daily support, team supervision, and feedback to field operations to produce high-quality project outcomes against company-set performance criteria
  • Supervising daily contract administration requirements and collaborating in the negotiation and control of subcontractor and supply agreements
  • Ensuring project HSEQ objectives are set, shared, and adhered to create an exemplary safety culture aligned to the values of 'Safety is My Way'
  • Building and creating lasting relationships with clients and subcontractors to improve financial and productivity outcomes

Requirements

You will need:

  • Previous experience in your relevant role within the civil and/or defense construction industry (desirable) with prior experience delivering similar projects in a remote area
  • Sound knowledge and capabilities in managing and overseeing a project or an assigned project section
  • Confidence in administering and negotiating contracts
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and suppliers for site works
  • Experience in coordinating and/or running toolbox meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions, and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in the resolution of client and key stakeholders' concerns
  • A must-hold accredited civil engineering qualification
