About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Heart Centre. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting the delivery of coronary angiography, rotablation, stenting & cardiac implantable devices.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work well under pressure. They will also be able to rotate between the 12-bed recovery area and Cath labs, as well as provide on-call cover.

  • Be able to identify potential complications associated with radiological procedures and know how to respond to these providing appropriate quick responses to support the team in stabilising the patient.
  • Assist the doctor performing the investigation as a runner or scrub nurse seeking clarity of instructions wherever necessary.
  • Know and be able to prepare patients for specific procedures performed in radiology maintaining their safety and dignity throughout.
  • Upon completion of training, have attained a sufficiently high level of individual competence in order to facilitate immediate responses to emergency situations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience working in a cath lab or cardiac department.
  • Able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
