The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to provide technical support on Hitachi equipment in the Canberra region. Reporting to our Canberra Branch, you will be responsible for diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services to our customers' equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service to our customers
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, with all relevant documentation complete and submitted on time
  • Conducting work in compliance with quality and safety standards and procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic)
  • Previous experience as a heavy diesel mechanic
  • OEM equipment experience highly regarded
  • Current driver's license
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and customer service etiquette
  • Uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
