As a Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic with the Australian Defence Force, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of naval vessels. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and repairing propulsion systems, diesel engines, and ancillary equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Operate, maintain, diagnose, and repair propulsion systems, diesel engines, and ancillary equipment on naval vessels and shore-based equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Participate in training and professional development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.

**Requirements**

Applicants should possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. A Certificate III in Engineering – Fixed Mobile and Plant Mechanics or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
