This is a key position within our organization, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic engagement and public profile of the Sydney Policy Lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior staff to develop and implement strategic plans for the Lab and its programs.
  • Lead content development across digital platforms, ensuring creative, accessible, and engaging outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to amplify the Lab's work in political, media, and public contexts, including through briefings, events, and campaigns.
  • Provide expert advice on media engagement, messaging, and navigating complex issues.
  • Manage external contractors and internal teams to deliver high-impact content and design outputs.
  • E nsure inclusive and accessible engagement activities align with organizational policies and standards.

You will have the opportunity to navigate nuance, manage relationships, and position the Lab's work in conversations. You will also lead content development and support the Lab's events, partnerships, and communications.

About You:
  • Demonstrated experience in policy, research, or communication sectors.
  • Proven track record of producing and managing content across digital platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex policy issues into clear messaging.
  • Experience working in complex organizations, preferably in higher education.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
