About this role

This position involves leading a team to drive key projects and outcomes for Queensland's Quantum and Advanced Technologies Strategy. The strategy has five pillars: Deep science capability, Science commercialization, Quantum workforce, Engagement and missions, and Investment.

As the successful applicant, you will implement the strategy to stimulate Queensland's quantum economy and secure its global leadership position. You will manage project deliverables and grants to support accelerated delivery of the quantum and advanced technologies sector.

You will unlock deep science capabilities, keeping pace with rapidly evolving science and industry developments and attracting inward investment.

  • You will contribute to turning Queensland's quantum advantage into trailblazing industries, companies, and jobs.
  • You will be a valued member of a welcoming and motivated team that recognises the importance of diversity.
  • You will experience leading from within a highly reputable branch providing strategic leadership for the Queensland Government's investment in science research, capability, and infrastructure.
