Job Description

A key role exists for a seasoned Behaviour Support Practitioner to lead our team in delivering high-quality, person-centred services that empower people living with difference.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating a team of experienced behaviour support practitioners, ensuring consistent service delivery to clients. They will develop and oversee the implementation of client-specific behaviour support plans, providing expert guidance and coaching to team members.

This leadership position requires extensive experience in providing positive behaviour support to individuals with complex needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or a related allied health discipline
  • Extensive experience (minimum 2 years) in providing positive behaviour support to people with complex needs
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement practical behaviour support strategies
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards governing positive behaviour support
  • Registered with NDIS as a PBS practitioner at proficient level or above
