Industrial Logistics Team Lead Job Overview

The Industrial Logistics Team Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting the Centre of Competence (CoC). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that contractual commitments are met and customer satisfaction is achieved.

This role involves providing logistical support to personnel on a daily basis, including responding to alerts, analyzing problems or doubts raised by the logistics team, and escalating any issues detected based on agreed-upon processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responding to first-level alerts, analyzing problems or doubts raised by the logistics team, and escalating any issues detected based on agreed-upon processes
  • Participating with line managers to identify and improve work standards
  • Managing warehouse operations to supply Autonomous Production and/or Repair Units (APRUs) at the Rydalmere CoC
  • Performing warehouse acceptance, physical and logical incoming and outgoing operations, and recording these operations in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Organizing and managing inventories, analyzing deviations, conducting onsite shipping, receiving, warehousing, and handling activities
  • Providing internal distribution and transport of semi-finished products, finished products, subassemblies, components, consumables, and tools
  • Managing warehouse for finished products and spare parts for customer support, including inward and outward transactions, and inventory management
  • Processing customer delivery routings according to contract requirements: delivery times, accompanying documents, and supervision of contractors for transport and customs transactions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of production and repair processes, industrial management control, and the Multi-Year Budget (MYB) process
  • Knowledge of supply chain roles, inventory management, and flow management methodologies
  • Implementation of continuous improvement and management tools, such as Lean principles and PDCA
  • Routine use of ERP and understanding of the underlying logic
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility for security clearance
