Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team on the Waterfront project.

About the Role

The successful candidate will coordinate construction engineering activities, prepare site construction budgets and reports, monitor construction progress and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager.

  • Coordinate construction engineering activities.
  • Prepare site construction budgets and reports.
  • Monitor construction progress and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
  • Implement designs in construction projects.
  • Improve existing designs.
  • Arrange and oversee tender letting.
  • Apply financial management skills when making decisions.
  • Assign work and assist with reviews.
  • Manage subcontractor work and performance.
  • Use document and record management systems.
  • Report project performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Commercial high-rise experience essential.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in a Site or Project Engineering role.
  • Knowledge of project management structure and implications.
  • Understanding of Project Design, Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Plans.
  • Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements.
