Our Head Office is based on the Central Coast, New South Wales with additional depots located in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Townsville, Perth and Hobart. We have been operating for over 40 years and employ over 250 people.
About the role
This is a newly created role for someone looking to continue their professional development & career journey while contributing to business growth and internal staff development. While predominantly based out of the SQ office, the role will be required to travel at times throughout QLD, as well as maintain a strong site presence as needed / requested.
Duties
- Overseeing the implementation and adherence of the SPA Project Management Framework
- Managing Multiple Projects / Delivery teams in QLD
- Developing relationships with all key stakeholders
- Contributing to the ongoing professional development of internal staff
- Project financial management and reporting
- Ensuring safe work practise
- Monthly Project Audits
- EOM Project reporting to Senior Management
- Contract Management
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering - Civil with a minimum of 10 years experience
- Strong understanding of civil and pavement engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant state road authority specifications & regulations. QLD TMR would be highly desirable.
- Proficiency in relevant software for project management, Project financial management and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional registration is desirable but not required.
- Ability to assist the business to professionally develop internal project engineers and project delivery team members.
- Previous experience with a Tier 1 civil construction company or QLD TMR would be highly desirable.
