The College Chaplain is a vital support role in promoting the Christian ethos of Geelong Lutheran College. The successful candidate will work closely with staff and students to foster faith, hope, purpose, and service to others.
- Ministering in the College through worship and faith formation initiatives.
- Leading the Christian Studies program, from Prep to Year 12, using the Lutheran Education Australia CSCF framework.
- Providing pastoral care for staff members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing positive working relationships with senior staff colleagues.
- Regular meetings with the Head of College and other key stakeholders.
- Leading worship services and implementing the Christian Studies program.
- Offering pastoral care to staff members.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualifications and experience in Lutheran theology.
- A professional outlook on education and student needs.
- High levels of organisation, interpersonal skills, and adaptability.
- Good computer literacy and decision-making skills.
- Ability to promote positive staff morale and teamwork.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with young people and adults.
- Experience working with children and families.
- Preferred qualifications in Lutheran theology and education.
