Medical Laboratory Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our pathology laboratory team.

Job Description:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work in a newly established pathology laboratory at Moree Hospital, providing pathology collection services to the local community.
  • You will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients on a Monday to Friday basis, working in inpatient and outpatient settings closely connected to an active pathology laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients with minimal risk of discomfort or complications.
  • Develop strong relationships with healthcare professionals, conveying critical information effectively.
  • Contribute to the healthcare of your local community by ensuring accurate sample collection and delivery.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate III in Pathology Collections or previous experience in venepuncture is required.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills will enable you to resolve general issues within the clinical environment.
