Job Description

This is a challenging role that requires strong security and analytical skills to ensure the safety of facilities and people within. As a Project Officer - Facility Security Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating facility security at the Victoria Police Centre, which also supports security systems across Victoria Police facilities statewide.

About the Role
  • Respond to and work with people using Victoria Police facilities.
  • Work with security stakeholders and technicians to identify and resolve security system issues.
  • Be a subject matter expert on Victoria Police's Facility Security systems and processes.
  • Engage with service providers and trades to undertake scheduled or corrective security works.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to work as part of a team to keep Victoria Police facilities operational, safe, and productive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in VPC Security Committees.
  • Assist Facility Managers with facility issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • You will need to be able to work independently and solve issues effectively.
  • Rlevant experience in security and security systems is desirable.
  • You should have strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in project management and delivery of security systems is preferred.
  • A strong commitment to Operational Infrastructure Department's strategy goals is essential.

This is an ongoing full-time position located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks and national security vetting.

About the Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,000 - $105,000 based on the location and industry standards.
