About the Role

As a senior evaluation specialist you will work closely with the head of research and evaluation to provide support for evaluation activities across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing guidance and training to initiative teams and partners to design and deliver evaluations for new partnerships and projects.
  • Developing and maintaining a policy detailing the standard for evaluation within our organisation.
  • Strengthening practices by documenting and sharing emerging insights and lessons learned.
  • Encouraging an organisational culture where quality evidence and evaluation are valued.
  • Supporting the research and evaluation team in developing and implementing our strategy.
  • Contributing to the advancement of philanthropic evaluation through sharing ideas and practices across the sector.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to:

  • Design solutions to complex problems that are fit for purpose.
  • Adapt your approach to evaluations as needed.
  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships in complex environments.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Have a proven understanding of a variety of qualitative and quantitative evaluation tools and methods.
  • Demonstrate experience evaluating projects, programmes or policies.
  • Have experience working across multiple sectors.
  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification.
