A unique opportunity to join Silverchain is now available to lead the evaluation function across the business. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Evaluation Lead to join us on a permanent full-time basis. The Senior Evaluation Lead will drive service optimisation by developing evaluation proposals and undertaking evaluation projects and associated research and quality improvement projects. The Senior Evaluation Lead will also disseminate evaluation findings in meaningful ways to stakeholders and support translation of knowledge into practice change across the organisation.

The role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis, Silverchain is flexible with working location, we are looking for the perfect person for the role and are happy to support applicants from either Vic, WA or SA

Key responsibilities

The Senior Evaluation Lead will have the below major responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high quality evaluation projects and associated research and quality improvement activities.
  • Evaluate key programs of work including our health and aged care services, our innovation and AI program and aspects of our Digital Transformation.
  • Lead and assist in the development of evaluation proposals, grant applications and ethics applications.
  • Engage with organisational stakeholders to ensure evaluation activities are relevant, in line with strategic directions, and will provide actionable insights.
  • Support the development of new models of care through documentation of "as is" and development of innovative changes.
  • Undertake analysis of often complex qualitative and quantitative data and translate findings into plain language.
  • Disseminate evaluation findings within the organisation, to stakeholders and where relevant publish in high quality peer reviewed journals and conference presentations.

About you

To be successful in this role, your previous skills and experience will match up with the below requirements:

  • Post Graduate qualification in evaluation, or research-based health or social science, or significant equivalent experience in conducting evaluations (PhD desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum of 5 years) in conducting mixed methods evaluations preferably in health-related settings.
  • Experience in applying co-design and other collaborative design and engagement methods.
  • Skilled in quantitative and qualitative data analysis using relevant analysis software packages.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing evaluation reports and delivering presentations to diverse audiences with different information needs.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly developed project management skills, including managing multiple projects under time and resource limitations.
  • Experience in preparing funding proposals, grant applications and ethics applications.
  • Highly skilled in engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competitive salary + Super + the ability to salary package up to $18,550.
