Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of our care home, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on care to residents, including assistance with personal care, medication administration, and daily living activities.
  • Encourage residents to maintain their independence and engage in meaningful activities, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other care team members to ensure seamless communication and comprehensive care.
  • Supervise and train junior care staff, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a care setting, preferably with older adults or individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of our residents.
  • Valid certification in medication administration and basic life support.
