Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Job DescriptionThe Senior Food Services Manager will be responsible for the overall management of our school canteen, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily operations, including menu planning, inventory control, and staff supervision;
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of quality and safety;
- Budgeting and financial management to ensure the canteen's profitability;
- Fostering strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to promote a positive and inclusive dining experience.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in food service management, preferably in an educational setting;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and handling practices, as well as relevant certifications (e.g., Basic Food Handling Certificate, Food Supervisor Certificate);
- Ability to supervise a small team and manage day-to-day operations;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer literacy;
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.
The successful candidate must hold the following qualifications and certifications:
- Basic Food Handling Certificate;
- Current Food Supervisor Certificate;
- NSW Working with Children Check;
- Possession of a valid driver's license (optional but preferred).
