Job Overview

To excel in a dynamic Emergency Department environment, you will provide exceptional customer care to patients and their families. This role offers work-life balance and opportunities for career growth in healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Provide welcoming greetings to all customers
  • Respond to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage the reception desk of the busy Emergency Department
  • Answer and redirect phone calls
  • Prepare admission paperwork as required
  • Perform Health Fund Checks as necessary
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage the collection of Emergency Department deposits, health fund excess/co-payments, and out-of-pocket fees
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient information data and process medical records
Essential Criteria
  • Experience working in an acute patient-focused healthcare facility or hospital
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts on 7-day rotating rosters
  • Experience with WebPas Hospital system (desirable)
