Warehouse Operations Leader

The Role of a Warehouse Supervisor is crucial for the success of our organization.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career in warehousing and take on a leadership role.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be the main contact for customer and supplier queries, planning and completing lodgements on time, unloading, loading, unpacking, and packing cargo as required.

You will also ensure all cargo is customs and quarantine cleared before dispatch, follow safety rules, and report issues. Additionally, you will manage daily tasks for Freight Coordinators, support and guide the team to meet standards, and collaborate with other supervisors, staff, and managers to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact for customer and supplier queries
  • Plan and complete lodgements within specified timelines
  • Unload, load, unpack, and pack cargo as necessary
  • Verify that all cargo is customs and quarantine cleared prior to dispatch
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and report any incidents
  • Oversee daily tasks for Freight Coordinators
  • Provide guidance and support to the team to achieve performance targets
  • Foster collaboration among supervisors, staff, and managers to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with perishable cargo and a thorough understanding of airfreight operations are essential
  • A valid ASIC Card (or willingness to obtain) is required, along with a Forklift license and relevant experience, as well as physical fitness for manual lifting
  • Proven leadership skills, reliability, flexibility, ability to work independently, approachability, and a safety-conscious attitude are vital
