Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Telecommunications Network Engineer with a specialization in Electronics and Communication Engineering to join our team in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing technical support in the design, architecture, optimization, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and resolution of telecommunications network performance failures, defects, and malfunctions.
- Assist in modifying communication systems and provide technical advice and information on different aspects (parts/equipment) while monitoring the performance of complex networks and equipment.
- Analyze and conduct quality checks on assets at site and in Telstra exchanges for FTTN/FTTP/FTTB/FTTC equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers to design blueprints and wiring for fibre to the premises equipment and coordinate technicians for project completion.
- Work with designers, constructors, and planners across Telstra and NBN for fibre network design evaluation of NDD (Network Design Document).
- Evaluate schematic drawings for communication and control systems with microcontrollers, based on requirements, concept, and prototype using wired, optical fibre, and wireless communication media.
- Supervise network drawings for a broad range of end-to-end tasks constructing Optical Fibre cable networks, including onsite management tasks.
- Monitor the preparation of Testing and Commissioning Plans, Testing Specifications, Procedures, and Test Documentation as required for the project.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience of a minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the telecommunication industry.
- Familiarity with NBN architectures, HFC architectures, and the ability to infer FTTP designs.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, design documents, product, and client specifications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think creatively in providing improvements and recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to express complex solutions in clear language.

Pay: $62,275.49 – $72,300.00 per year
