The Role

This position requires strong case management skills to oversee workers' compensation claims from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be empathetic and resilient, able to provide timely and efficient support to injured employees and facilitate their return to work. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring effective case management of all workers' compensation claims
  • Undertaking early intervention to develop case management plans that meet the needs of all parties involved
  • Managing workplace rehabilitation and case management, with a focus on early intervention and successful return to work
  • Conducting accident/incident investigations and risk assessments in a timely, impartial, and outcome-focused manner
  • Providing leadership on workers' compensation matters, including insurance management and cost control
  • Assisting in determining coverage under relevant legislation and case law
  • Taking responsibility for national workers' compensation and rehabilitation management
  • Providing guidance and support to AEG on all workers' compensation matters

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Workplace Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator Accreditation
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar return to work role
  • Proven ability to lead effective workers' compensation claims management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of workers' compensation legislation and processes
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively

About the Position
