About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our dynamic team in Townsville. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a leading provider of occupational rehabilitation services in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

You will assess, plan, organize, and participate in workplace rehabilitative programs to help clients achieve positive return to work outcomes. This may involve:

  • Assessing workers' transferable skills and potential through various means including early intervention assessments, home assessments, worksite assessments, job task analyses, ergonomic assessments, and case management services.
  • Liaising with stakeholders, including insurance companies, medical practitioners, employers, and employees, to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will also be responsible for promoting the WorkSafe Incentive Scheme for Employers to organizations and developing relationships with key stakeholders to advance business objectives.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a field related to occupational rehabilitation or a similar field.
  • ASORC registration.
  • Previous industry experience in occupational rehabilitation is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and injury management is desirable.
  • Outstanding communication and networking skills.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience writing reports.
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work independently as part of a team.
  • An Australian driver's license.
  • Eligibility to work permanently in Australia.
Benefits

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $80K - $90K + super + bonuses (depending on experience) and opportunities for progression. Other benefits include:
