We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our close-knit team based in Alexandria.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead logistics operations, ensuring service levels are consistently met.
- Manage and motivate a team to achieve high productivity levels.
- Ensure import and export cargo is delivered within key timeframes.
- Maintain facility equipment and have a contingency plan for breakdowns.
- Train team members on client requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Report on operational profitability, considering space utilisation, volumes, and labour requirements.
- Maintain high health and safety standards at all times.

Requirements:

- 4+ years experience in a logistics management role, preferably in Freight Forwarding or 3PL.
- Previous experience managing a medium-sized logistics team, including rostering and leave management.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of client management and profitability; experience managing productivity and presenting results.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including experience managing in a unionised environment.
- Analytical mindset and experience in root cause analysis to improve operations continuously.
- Safety-focused mindset, prioritising work, health, and safety.
