Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Officer to join our team. As a key member of our fleet maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and servicing of our firefighting and specialist appliances.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of assets and equipment, utilizing your mechanical expertise to maintain high standards of safety and performance.

You will work closely with our experienced team to carry out preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and approved modifications as directed by our workshop officer in charge.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Motor Mechanic Qualification and a Heavy Rigid Driver Licence (or ability to obtain within CFA's timeframes)
  • The skills and ability to maintain safety at an incident scene and render assistance to others (First Aid L2 or ability to obtain within CFA's timeframes)

You will also have a proven ability to work as part of a team, actively participate in discussions, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
