Vehicle Maintenance Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to manage and maintain our fleet of vehicles. As part of a small, tight-knit team, you'll be the technical expert for fleet maintenance contributing to asset performance, safety, and compliance with regulations.

In this permanent, full-time role, you'll help carry out hands-on mechanical maintenance across a diverse fleet including cars, trucks, tractors, and mowing equipment critical to airfield operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience or training as a vehicle mechanic and strong work ethic motivated to learn and develop skills. Exposure to heavy vehicles is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Supporting asset lifecycle management and preventative maintenance improvements
  • Data entry and work order management in Maximo/EAM
  • Procurement activities including purchase orders and invoice receipting
  • Capital works projects as required
  • Safety compliance and operational efficiency champion
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: experience or training as a vehicle mechanic
  • Work ethic and motivation to learn and develop skills
  • Exposure to heavy vehicles is advantageous
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office tools
