Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Services Director to manage the design, coordination, installation and commissioning of building services on a large scale project in NSW.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Driving company safety policies, practices and procedures to ensure a safe workplace at all times.
  • Managing the design of Building Services documentation packages across the project, including Mechanical, Electrical, Security, ICT and Hydraulic.
  • Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure that the developing documentation meets the required specification, cost budgets and programme for construction works.
  • Overseeing coordination and review all documentation for adequacy of design input.
  • Participating in the selection of subcontractors.
  • Monitoring progress and quality of services installation and commissioning, and participating in the final handover of the project.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical or hydraulic services) together with solid industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working on large-scale projects, managing complex building services packages (mechanical, electrical, communication/ICT/BMS and hydraulic).
  • Experience managing complex integrated systems.
  • Experience with the installation, maintenance and testing of essential and advanced building services, including Mechanical, Electrical, Security & ICT as well as Hydraulic.
  • Sound understanding and application of statutory legislation including knowledge of the OHS Act, Building Code of Australia and the relevant services Australian Standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through development of effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
